A swirling pattern of pigeons flocked over grain elevators on an early fall morning this week in Paradise Valley.

Frozen Bird

This Rough-legged Hawk appeared to mimic its perch this morning as I pulled over on East River Road. I sat there for a good couple of minutes before I had to pull away for an oncoming car. An easily spooked bird, I was thankful for this frozen moment.
