At Home on the River

Pirate's cove is our daily playground this summer, building and creating the perfect spot to spend our summer days.

Bend

I was amused by this raven hopping up and down atop this old barn on the way to Martinsdale, MT, recently. I could've sat there for hours...

Some Luck

My son found a four-leaf clover today in our backyard. It has been estimated that there are approximately 10,000 three-leaf clovers for every four-leaf clover. I'm thinkin' luck was on his side today.

On Lookout

I finally saw a Golden Eagle chick in the nest that is up on the cliff along Convict Grade road yesterday. I only saw one, and didn't see any parents around. I'm thinking that this chick is around 8 weeks old, maybe more. I'll be checking the nest as regularly as I can. It would be cool to see this bird fledge from here, which could be around 10-13 weeks old...!

Wriggled through a gap in the fence...
